Ali grew up in rural Alaska as a Pioneer Missionary's Kid (PMK), she attended the church her dad planted in Dillingham. She graduated from high school in Dillingham and went to Nelson University where she got a Bachelor's degree in Church Ministries specializing in Youth Ministry. She got a Masters in Special Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Leadership from HSU in Arkansas. She enjoys scrapbooking, hiking, and cats! She has a Devon Rex support cat named Kenai.
